Between 2014 and 2020 European Music Therapy Day was organised by the European Music Therapy Confederation (EMTC) in cooperation with the Dutch Association for Music Therapy (NVvMT).

From 2021 onwards European Music Therapy Day will be organised by the EMTC in cooperation with the Croatian Music Therapy Association (HUM).
